J. L. Prevost, B.Sc., B.Ed., MCP, RCC
Joelle Prevost is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, holding a master's degree in counselling psychology. With former careers as a high-school science teacher and fish biologist, Joelle brings a unique perspective to her therapy practice, drawing from her experience in high school, group, and one-on-one counselling settings. In her private practice, Joelle specializes in working with individuals who are seeking help with anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, and communication.
Through her desire to make low- and no-cost mental health resources for those who can’t afford therapy, Joelle has created a YouTube channel and has published two books. These books and videos cover topics like CBT, communication, and managing chronic illness.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Joelle channels likes writing music and crafting cold-process soap. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and cat, in beautiful Vancouver, B.C..
